It is shown that doubler plates prevent panel zone yielding and the vertical stiffener plate inside column has compelled some inelastic deformation in beams but severe plastic deformations have occurred in column cover plate.
It is shown that the increase of thickness of vertical stiffener plate has compelled more inelastic deformation in beams compared to model C3.
It has a considerable effect on improving connection strength, stiffness and compels inelastic deformations in beams.
